The Maryland Terrapins opened their season with a 14-7 win over Delaware.  They dominated the formerly division 1-AA (now FCS) powerhouse, but had two interceptions, three missed field goals and sloppy play in the passing game that produced only 126 yards.  The Terps running game was cranked up led by Da'Rel Scott gaining 197 yards rushing and freshman Davin Meggett contributing 50 yards and a touchdown.  Jordan Steffy was booed and taunted by the crowd during the game before leaving the game with a thumb injury giving way to Chris Turner in the 4th quarter.  Highly touted dual threat QB Josh Portis got in the game in some packages but primarily ran the ball.  See ESPN's box score for more info about the game.
